hey, so im back. my internet sucks until tomorrow when were getting a new motum or router or somthing.

so i had an amazing dream last night (ill explain it later), after i told Megan, my ex, that im gay. yes, im finaly comfortable saying im GAY!!! no longer is it that i like guys, I AM GAY!!!! =)

well i told her, and we talked about it. she told me a secret about another kid being gay, who i dident know, so it was ok, but i told her she could'nt tell anyone, and as of now, i trust her. she was trying to tell me that Edward was cute (Twilight). nope, hes not haha Jake is =) yes i do also like twilight. and degrassi, which were gona talk about to once boiling point comes on.

i dreamt about Andrew! i never dream, and especially never about Andrew. it was my 3rd "gay" dream. i had one about John's brother (same age as Andrew), and another about another neighbor. well all i can remember about this dream is that we held hands, and he smiled at me. i know, no action, but honestly, i dont ever wana do anything with Andrew. holding hands is nice and innocent. i wana keep it that way, innocent.

i had a blast at the beach. i was really bummed i couldent go kayaking, but boogie-boarding made up for it haha. i only smoked weed one time while i was there too.

i also learned how to skank. its a dance to ska music. i dont expect any of u guys to know about ska, but its an awsome genre of music. if you wana hear some, leave a comment and ill tell u some killer bands.

ok, im gona go now, but ill leave you with one more thing; I AM GAY!!!

Peace!

HaHa... sounds like you are having a good summer, kid!! Good for you!! I'm glad that you have a close friend to confide in, especially when you're feeling a little sad or glad... It's always nice to be able to talk to someone w/o censoring your words!! I have NO idea how to 'skank'... It sounds suspiciously close to 'skunk' to me...lol... tho I doubt that it stinks that much !! Hopefully... ; P
Welcome back, anyways, I'm looking foward to hearing more about your adventures and, yeah, I'll listen to anything once... it never hurts to have an open mind... luv, tman<3

hey kid... blogger seems to be eating my comments, even after I changed my password... not all the time, but, I just left one here, and it vanished... hmmm... what a stupid system!! It doesn't happen everywhere, either, so, I'm not sure what the heck is going on... ARGG!!! Maybe it's a system problem.... anyone else experiencing that?? luv, tman<3

Hi there, Spys

Welcome back, and congratulations!

It sounds like you're having a great time in lots of ways :-)

Oddly enough, I do know something about ska - or at least the ska that was popular in Britain about thirty years ago. Brought over from the Caribbean by the black community here; a little like rap, but rather more musical, and without all the gold chains and egos. Is "your" ska the same?

tman: Blogger seems to be having some problems at the moment - it's not showing new posts for some time after they're posted, and it's not including new comments in comment counts for quite a while (24 hours?) too. I can see two comments from you on this post.

*hugs*

Taylor, haha it does. and thanks!

Tman, haha the skank only stinks if you do it for 2 hours straight =P

Mark, well, the ska from the 80's in Britain, i believe, was 2-tone ska? correct me if im wrong. and i do enjoy 2-tone ska alot, but i prefer 3rd wave ska, which was almost a revival of ska that happened in the USA in the late 80's-90's. i do think that it happened in Britain too, but not sure. you can find out all about this at wikipedia.

Peace

Hi there, Spys

Hmmm... "two-tone" - the name sounds vaguely familiar, so I guess you're right. I certainly wasn't paying very much attention at the time: I heard the music on the radio, but it didn't appeal to me very much, and I don't think there was anyone else I knew then who was into it either.

I didn't know there had been a revival 10 years later, but it doesn't surprise me: musical genres go out of fashion and then come back again.

Could you post links to a couple of tracks, or tell us where we could find them? I'd be interested to know what you're listening to, and also to find out this fuzzy memory from my childhood turned into.

Take care

Mark

SKA is awesome! I love Boy O Boy, Fighting Gravity (and know some of them), and bands like Fishbone (if you've never listened to Party at Ground Zero, go find it), even though FB is a little more rockish than pure ska.
