'tis a good thing to have dreams, young man... As time goes on, you may decide that you have achieved one at the expense of another... so, always plan carefully and be sure that the end justifies the means... We are all on this earth for a short time, so it's good to have a plan, set a strategy, and launch the attack- then watch life try to throw the various wrenches into the works along the way!! lol Still, that's what makes life rewarding!! Coping with the challenges, and making your dreams come true...

Just one warning... you can only waterski behind one yacht at a time, as they say, and the journey in life, many times, is more rewarding than the destination... Whether you achieve financial riches or not, I hope your life is filled with love and compassion... neither one of those can be bought, and are the priceless commodities that bring us true joy...Great thoughts, kid!! luv, tman<3

Hi there, Spys

Thanks for posting this: as tman said, it's good to have dreams, and it helps us understand you better if we know what yours are.

to find a cute guy
Good looks are nice, but when you find Mr (or Ms) Right I think personality (or attitude, or whatever you want to call it) will turn out to be more important. Looks fade after a while, but a good personality will endure. I think Plato, amongst others, wrote about this, possibly in the Symposium.

to be rich
I think I would see wealth as a means to an end, rather than an end in itself - money is worthless if you have nothing to spend it on. I can also see, though, that you would want to be rich enough that you can live comfortably - not have to worry about where the next meal is coming from, or whether the house will be repossessed, or whether you'll have enough to live on in your old age. Money alone, though, doesn't seem to provide happiness - rather the reverse, if the gossip columns in the newspapers are anything to go by. If you want to expand on this one, I'd be very interested - why do you want to be rich?

Take care

Mark

hey Mark, to be honest, i want to expand on both. a cute guy or girl for that matter, would be nice. lets not kid our selves, our society is very judgmental. if i had an ugly bf/gf, i would be judged down. if 2 people have close personalitys, but one looks better, ill go for the person that looks better. even if i prefered the other persons personality.

as you have and will find out, im big into blaming society, or even using society as my defence, but i dont think you will find my comments about it to be false.

to be rich. its been a dream sence i was 8. i remember the first time i walked into my dads office, hes a financial adviser if i never said that, and he used to manage the office near my house. i went in and was amazed that people were treating me with such respect. i knew it really dident have to do with money as much as it did with my dads position, but to me, there on the same track.

then i remember seeing Donnald Trump for the first time, then the movie Wall Street. money has been a huge part of my life. i've always been greedy and have no problem admitting it.

also, you are judged on both your total worth, and you salery in our society, which in and of itself, revolves around money. if we had no means of money, i dont think society would be even close to the same.

and i can always find somthing to spend money on, wether it be for me or for a charity. i like spending less than i like earning, but spending is a strong secound.

Peace!
