Spys,
You know what, quitting cigarettes is as hard as quitting heroin or cocaine...nicotine is bad stuff. Disappointed no, not at all. Never. Surprised? Not really. But 2 packs in a month? That's not too bad. I know when my mom tried to quit, it took 2 or 3 tries. My last roommate, a really close friend, also tried to quit. Took 3 tries and lots of nicotine gum. You are a normal guy. What I honestly haven't figured out is why your parents aren't giving you sh!t cause cigarette smoke permeates everything. But maybe one or the other or both smoke like mine did, so they didn't notice when I was also smoking. I quit after a few packs cause all it did for me was make me feel sick. We won't talk about what else I took up that didn't make me feel sick.

You can make the 6-8 go away. It's called the toilet. Your hand will tremble as you break them in half and let them go. Do it, as a signal to yourself that you can.

Spys, I don't think less of you. You're a normal teen who fell victim to cigs. No way I'll do anything but encourage you. SO STOP NOW!!!!!
HAHHAHAHA!

Peace, friend, and <3

Hey,

I know what your going through and just how difficult. I dont think i was as addicted as you, but 2 packs in a month is pretty good.

To make sure i stopped smoking, i just smaked the last two one after the other, so smoking made me feel sick from then on.

It worked for a bit, so i didnt crave them, but its only temporary haha.

Good Luck! and we're all here for you xx

Pete and I used nicotine patches - but you may not even have a nicotine level in your body that's high enough for the lowest value patch because you sound like the frequency you are smoking at is just like someone might go out for a drink or something.

Maybe nicotine gum that you could simply chew when you have an urge for a cigarette and spit out when you've got your 'hit'.

I have to say that I quit when I was still smoking about eight a day - below that level isn't good, but it's more difficult to replace with patches - I actually increased the amount of nicotine I was getting by choosing too high a dosage of patch!

Anyway - set your own rules, use gum or something to help and just quit in your own time. If you know you want to and you've done it before then you know you can do it. You just have to decide you're going to, eh?
